Wallet of an American national was stolen in Belur Math, the headquarters of Ramkrishna Math and Ramkrishna Mission in West Bengal Howrah’s district on Thursday, but it was recovered by police within hours, a police officer said.
The wallet of Ilaa Vora, an American of Indian-origin containing money and important documents was stolen when she was visiting the Belur Math at about 11 am, the officer said.
She lodged a complaint and within hours the police with technical help recovered the wallet and arrested three women for stealing the wallet, he said.
