New Delhi:
Two men have been arrested for allegedly killing a person who used to supply weapons in Najafgarh area, police said on Tuesday.
The accused have been identified as Sandeep (32), a resident of Rohtak district in Haryana and Pradeep (39), a resident of Najafgarh, they said.
A person informed the police on Friday that two people have killed someone in his house.
The police rushed to the spot at Jai Vihar, Phase-1, Najafgarh and contacted the caller several times, but his phone was switched off, a senior police officer said.
The police entered the house and found the body of a man wrapped in a bed sheet. They also found Sandeep in the house.
“During interrogation, Sandeep disclosed that he along with his friend, Pardeep, killed the victim. Pardeep was later nabbed,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Anto Alphonse said.
The deceased was later identified as Joginder Hudda (41), a resident of Gopal Nagar in Najafgarh, they said.
Later, it was revealed that Hudda was a criminal and used to supply weapons. Rajkumar, brother of Pradeep, had purchased some weapons from him and they had issues over payment.
On the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, Hudda consumed alcohol with Sandeep and Pardeep. Sandeep had a heated argument with Hudda, following which they killed him with the help of a knife, rod and iron jack, the DCP said.
The duo then informed Rajkumar and Naveen, friend of Rajkumar, about the incident. All four of them planned to dispose off the body in Jai Vihar Nalla, Najafgarh, but could not do so, following which Rajkumar informed the police and fled the spot, the DCP added.
