New Delhi:
Two men were arrested by an assistant sub-inspector of the Delhi Police while they were trying to rob a man of his mobile-phone, officials said on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, police got information regarding gunshot injury to a person at Yamuna Vihar.
By the time a police team reached the spot, assistant sub-inspector Ravinder had caught one of the accused. The other was caught by the man who was being robbed, police said.
Police said a pistol and three live cartridges was seized from them.
In his statement, Ravinder said when he was returning home after meeting his relative, he saw three persons. He heard two rounds of firing, following which one of the persons shouted for help, a senior police officer said.
Ravinder stopped his bike and caught one of the accused, while the other was nabbed by the victim on the spot, they said.
The victim suffered a gun shot injury.
A case under relevant sections was registered at Bhajanpura police station and the accused were arrested, they added.
