Tatsat Foundation organizes series of blood donation camps

New Delhi:

Tatsat Global Education and Welfare Foundation, an award-winning not-for-profit organization, organized a successful blood donation camp, and a books, clothes & toys donation drive, with support from Xceedance, Indian Red Cross Society, and Neki Ki Deewar (known for innovative philanthropy drives involving catchy slogans and graffiti). The camp, saw overwhelming participation. It was held under the supervision of experts and doctors. The objective was to spread a message of compassion and shine the spotlight on issues that matter.

On this occasion, Tatsat Foundation Founder Director Sumi Gupta said, “We are committed to working in the areas of health, prevention of diseases, hygiene, and overall wellness. It is important to sensitize the youth towards philanthropy. Innovative thinking, new age creative, and strategic planning and partnerships are going to be the way forward for us this year. We are happy that one of our first programs this year has received such an overwhelming response. The next blood donation camp and charity drive for books, clothes, and toys, is slated to be held in Noida on January 30, followed by Bengaluru and Pune.”

The camp inspired a diverse group of volunteers to come forward and donate blood. The donation drive for clothes, toys, and books will be hosted across Gurugram, Noida, Pune, and Bangalore to improve the lives of children from disadvantaged backgrounds in February.

Speaking of the initiative, Vasudhara Srivastava, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Xceedance, said, “At Xceedance, our mission is to drive social change by engaging with local communities and partnering with regional not-for-profit organizations to help improve the communities in which we live and work. Our people are committed to transforming lives for the better – both within our communities and our organization.”

All blood donors at the camp received a Donor Card, which will enable them to receive one unit of blood during an emergency for a period of one year.

By donating blood, we help someone in need and save a precious life. World Health Organization mentions, “Safe blood saves lives and improves health”. There is a constant need for regular blood supply because blood can be stored for only a limited time before use. Regular blood donations by healthy individuals are needed to ensure that safe blood is available whenever and wherever needed.
