Stone-pelting took place in Vazirabad area of Nanded city during a bandh called by the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act in Maharashtra on Friday, police said.

A group of people tried to close shops in a market area and started throwing stones, a police official said.

The police used baton charge to disperse them, said inspector Sandeep Shivle.

No arrests had been made, he added.
