Mayor of East Delhi, Nirmal Jain, on Wednesday honored environmental assistant of the EDMC, Roshni Devi, for her honesty.
The environmental assistant showed an exemple of honesty by returning Rs10 lakh kept accidently in a box of sweets that she received as a Diwali gift.
The mayor honored Roshni Devi with a citation and a memento.
Environmental assistant Roshni Devi is posted at Shankar Nagar Extension area. She was gifted a box of sweets by a citizen as a Diwali gift. The said box of sweets was also carrying accidentally cash of Rs 10 lakh of the aforesaid citiizen. Roshni Devi set an example of honesty by returning Rs 10 lakh to the citizen.
Mayor Jain said that the work of Roshni Devi is a source of inspiration for all and the East Delhi Municipal Corporation praises her good behavior. Jain expressed confidence that the employees of the corporation will take inspiration from her conduct and will adopt the highest values of honesty in life.
