The Samajwadi Majdoor Sabha observed fast across the state on Sunday in protest against the difficulties being faced by labourers during the ongoing lockdown period.

President of the Samajwadi Majdoor Sabha Ram Gopal Puri described the speech and guidelines of Prime Minister as ‘disappointing’.  No work plan for migrant labourers in the guidelines. In a letter to the PMO, the Majdoor Sabha said that  only 4 percent labourers hav been given ration and 30 percent labourers have been given food across the state.  There is no arrangement for remaining labourers.  To help the poor is the responsibility of the government. He demanded that the government should reach out 10 lakh migrant labourers in remote district with necessary facilities. The must be given Rs 5000 each.

Among others general secretary of the Samajwadi Majdoor Sabaha, state secretary Hira Lal  Yadav, Jagat Singh Pradhan, Neelam Gupta,  Jaipala Yadav, Seema Bhadauriya, Surendra Advocate, Parul Gupta and others also participated in this protest.
