The Northern Railway claims to have registered record fabrication of 1003 coverall in a single day.
The workshops of the Northern Railway have so far fabricated over 2464 no. of coverall.
All divisions and workshops of the Northern Railway are working 24×7 to fight against COVID-19. In its continuation efforts to fight against COVID-19, leading from the front the Northern Railways workshops have already fabricated 2464 number of coverall till date with a record fabrication of 1003 in a single day on 19.04.2020, thereby ramping up its fabrication capacity to 1000 per day, said a release.
Apart from fabrication of coverall, the Northern Railways workshops are also doing in-house production of masks, sanitizers and conversion of coaches into isolation wards.
On date till 19 .04.2020, the Northern Railways workshops has produced a total nos. of 32682 masks, 4715 liters of sanitizer and 540 coaches converted into Isolation Wards.
Social distancing is being ensured along with maintaining hygiene of staff during course of working as well as rest of time.
