Rajasthan sees 11 more COVID-19 deaths, 1,797 new cases

Rajasthan recorded 11 more fatalities due to the novel coronavirus on Friday, taking the death toll from the disease to 1,966 in the state, according to a health department bulletin.

The state also reported 1,797 fresh COVID-19 cases on Friday, bringing the infection count to 2,07,597. The number of active cases stands at 16,277 in the state.

According to the bulletin, 1,89,354 people have so far been discharged from hospitals in the state after recovering from the infection.

In Jaipur, the death toll from the pandemic is 380, followed by 190 in Jodhpur, 146 in Ajmer, 143 in Bikaner, 116 in Kota, 95 in Bharatpur and 76 in Pali.

Of the new COVID-19 cases, 307 were recorded in Jaipur, 191 in Jodhpur, 165 in Bikaner, 122 in Alwar, 115 in Ajmer, 102 in Sriganganagar, 94 in Sikar and 81 in Kota besides cases reported in other districts of the state.
