A couple was killed when an unidentified vehicle ran over them on the Bhawanimandi Misroli highway near Jhalawar’s Kuradiya Joga village on Thursday morning, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Ateek Mohammad (52) and his wife Sayara Bee (48), residents of Misroli in Jhalawar district.
Misroli SHO Harlal Gurjar said the couple was riding a motorcycle when Ateek lost balance over it.
Both fell from the bike and were crushed under an unidentified vehicle passing through the area around 7.30 am, he said.
Ateek was an egg seller, who along with his wife Sayara, was going to Misroli from Bhawanimandi carrying egg boxes on the bike.
Police have lodged a case against the driver of the unidentified vehicle. The bodies were handed over to family members after autopsy.
