Yellow weather warning issued for Himachal Pradesh

Parts of Himachal Pradesh received light to moderate rainfall in the last 24 hours, the meteorological department said on Friday.

Jogindernagar received 29 mm of rains, followed by Baijnath (24 mm), Chamba (19 mm), Kalpa (13 mm), Pandoh (10 mm), Manali (9 mm), Gaggal (8 mm), Bhuntar and Saloni (7 mm each), Sujanpur Tihra (6 mm), Kufri (4 mm), Solan and Theog (3 mm each), Shimla and Palampur (2 mm each) from 5.30 pm on Thursday to 5.30 pm on Friday, Shimla MeT centre director Manmohan Singh said.

The maximum temperature decreased by 3-4 degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours, he added.

Nahan was the hottest in the state with a maximum temperature of 27.4 degrees Celsius, whereas the lowest temperature was in Lahaul and Keylong at 3.8 degrees Celsius each, Singh said.
