Shimla:
The minimum temperature at most places in Himachal Pradesh decreased by a few notches in the last 24 hours due to rains at isolated places and snowfall at some higher reaches, the meteorological department said on Sunday.
The minimum temperatures fell by 1-2 degrees Celsius in most parts of the state, the Met department said.
Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti district witnessed 2 cm of snowfall and remained the coldest place in the state at a minimum temperature of 3.1 degrees Celsius, Shimla Meteorological Centre Director Manmohan Singh said.
Manali, Dalhousie and Chamba recorded 5, 2 and 1 mm of rainfall respectively, he said.
The minimum temperature recorded in Kalpa, Manali, Kufri, Dalhousie and Shimla was 1.8, 2.2, 5.1, 7.8 and 9.5 degrees Celsius respectively, Singh added.
The maximum temperature in most places increased by 1-2 degrees Celsius, with the highest temperature in the state recorded in Una at 27.2 degrees Celsius, he said.
