The North Delhi Municipal Corporation (North DMC) has thanked all the contributors for their support and help in dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic.
Many individuals and organizations extended their helping hands to support efforts of North DMC to curb spread of coronavirus. Some of them are the office of Additional DGFT (CLA, New Delhi), Ministry of Commerce and industry, government of India which donated 180 PPE kits and 10,000 masks to Delhi Hospitals.
The chairman of Aastha welfare society (regd), Ramesh Nagar, Gulshan Virmani who provided 500 re-usable cloth masks for the staff of North DMC. Sohil Malik (IRS), who donated masks for the staff of North DMC.
Similarly, councillor of North DMC, Anju Jain who donated 5000 masks for the staff of North DMC. As many as 64 Indian Revenue Services (income tax), women officers donated 4000 pairs of gloves, 2200 three layer masks and 400 (500 ml) bottles of sanitizers & 150 bottles (5 litres ) of sanitizers worth rupees 3.20 lakhs.
Besides, a few peoples from USA also donated 1000 pairs of gloves and 1000 masks to North DMC.
In the crucial times when Coronavirus is playing havoc in the world and we are engaged in restricting it’s spread in North Delhi their support is really appreciated and is encouraging, said a release.
The North Delhi Municipal Corporation welcomes support and help from individuals and organizations for its corona worriers, who are frontline fighter. This helps in resource generation in situations of financial crunch and on the other hand encourages community mobilisation towards the cause as well.
