After assuming charge last week, the new GM NCR, Pramod Kumar today conducted his first weekly meeting with Senior officers of headquarter and DRMs of Agra, Jhansi and Prayagraj. Officers from the divisions participated through VC.
GM, NCR in his first week of joining visited the three divisions and interacted with the divisional officers there. GM devoted the entire week in conducting one to one meetings with various Principal Head of the departments and DRMs and took stock of the ongoing works.
Today, at the outset of the meeting, GM extended a warm welcome to newly joined DRMs of Jhansi and Agra, Ashutosh and Anand Swaroop respectively. Pramod Kumar also complemented the officers for completion of various challenging works during last 10 days which include Jhansi-Babina third line, Mahoba-Khajuraho electrification and successful completion of EoTT trial.
GM further congratulated Agra Division Medical team to perform first ever cataract surgery in Divisional Hospital, Agra.
Among the various issues discussed were safety in operations and punctuality of trains. GM said that in order to maintain good punctuality, it is needed that asset failures should be reduced and in case failures took place, restoration time should be as minimum as possible.
GM instructed all the DRMs and other officers to do a threadbare analysis of failures and take corrective measures for future.
Speaking on the issue of cattle run over, GM said that the issue needs a multipronged approach. Railway officials working in fields should meet the local residents in villages in CRO prone areas and counsel them to keep cattle away from Railway tracks.
GM laid stress on Alarm Chain Pulling cases and instructed that specific trains and locations should be identified. Ambush parties should be deployed at specific places which are ACP prone and strict actions should be taken against the offenders.
While reviewing the progress of infrastructure works, GM instructed the DRMs that all coordination should be done by the division with different executing agencies so that targets should not get burst.
While discussing the issue of water logging which took place in Kanpur yard, it was informed that it was unexpected rains on the particular day which affected train movement. GM instructed that we should be ready for such situations.
He suggested that the pump capacity may be increased to drain out the water in minimum possible time.
GM extended his congratulations to Ms. Gurjit and Nisha of Prayagraj Division for their wonderful performances in Women Hockey in Tokyo Olympics and appealed all to participate in Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsava and sing National Anthem.
