IAS officer, Mayur Maheshwari on Monday took charge as CEO of Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Authority at Kanpur. Soon after joining the post, he reviewed several projects being developed by the Authority like TransGanga City, Saraswati Hi Tech City, Kanpur Leather Park among other.
He also reviewed the status of investor centric services offered to the Allottee and gave emphasis on simplification of processes and real time monitoring of citizen centric services at all levels.
Mr Maheshwari shared his vision of transforming UPSIDA through extensive use of technology like satellite imagery, ArcGIS, drone surveys and business intelligence to speed up the industrial development of the state. He also explained the importance of social media in establishing effective communication channel between the Authority and the Allottees.
CEO, UPSIDA motivated all the section officers to present innovative ideas and steps for enhancing revenue of authority and implementing effective business promotion activities. He also emphasized on the importance of image building of UPSIDA by providing effective services, better upkeep of Industrial Areas and establishing an open communication channel with the public. He also directed department to create short informative videos on various initiatives like online services, salient features of key flagship projects and other achievements for effective outreach to the public.
CEO UPSIDA directed all the UPSIDA officials to explore various State and Central Government Schemes under which the grant can be obtained for Industrial Infrastructure development. He also emphasized on the importance of simplification of process of services, grievance redressal, Regional Manager Wise monitoring of service delivery timelines. He also directed that a mobile app can be created for delivery of services to the allottees.
He also directed officials to prepare UPSIDA Industrial Areas for future technologies and plan infrastructure like electronic vehicle charging, PNG supplies for industries and other allied ICT infrastructure.
Further he directed all the UPSIDA officials especially those who are in field and are directly engaging with the citizens to follow the social distancing guidelines and precautions for protection against COVID-19.
