Mayor of North Delhi Avtar Singh led the sanitisation drive in different parts of North Delhi On Monday and prepared ‘Roti’ at a community kitchen being run for the needy.
Singh informed that the sanitisation drive was carried out by the sanitation workers in areas like Civil Lines’ Anand Villa, Saraswati Kunj, Ganpati Apartment, Maharaja Lines, Utkarsh Lines and adjoining areas.
The mayor of North Delhi also lent a helping hand at a community kitchen being run for the needy and prepared ‘Roti’ .
Speaking on the occasion he said at this difficult hour caused by Coronavirus the poor people are facing a tough time due to lockdown. we need to support to the poor collectively. So we need to support to the poor collectively.
-SDMC carries out mass sanitization drive at Tughlaqabad village-
The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) on Monday carried out mass sanitization and disinfection drive at Tughlaqabad village and adjoining areas to curb spread of Coronavirus in containment zones.
All the containment zones are daily sanitized twice through knapsack pumps and motorized pump by the sanitation worker, said a release. It carried out sanitization and disinfection drives at Tughlaqabad village, Tughlaqabad extension and adjoining areas.
Drones are being used to sanitise specially the two lanes in Tughlaqabad extension and Chooria Mooria mohalla at Tughlaqabad village where positive cases were detected.
Approx 25 kg disinfectants solution was sprayed through drone, taking 10 rounds each of 30 minutes. In addition to this 10 disinfectant spraying teams of public health workers with shoulder mounted knapsack pumps filled with 1% Sodium Hypo Chlorite has been deployed for covering narrow streets and localities whereas accessibility for tractor or truck based spraying is not possible.100 sanitation workers and 5 sprinkling tankers are also engaged for spraying disinfectants in the area.
Apart from this all the shelter homes for migrant labourers, food distribution centres, quarantine centers and CTCs(Community Toilet Complex) in the containment zones are being sanitized regularly by the motorized pumps having hypochlorite solution.
In all the containment areas under the jurisdiction of SDMC ,regular sanitation activities are being done which includes garbage collection from door to door through auto tippers, daily sweeping is done and Biomedical waste is being removed through BMW collection agency.
