A man wanted by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) was arrested at Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday, the MP police said.

Aziz Akram (40), resident of Burhanpur, was named as accused in a case registered by the Maharashtra ATS under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in Mumbai, an official said.

Acting on the tip-off, Madhya Pradesh ATS held Akram from Pala Bazar area of Burhanpur, the official said.

Maharashtra ATS officials have been informed about the arrest, he added.
