Man killed outside Bhopal jail

MP's `freedom of religion' law to provide for upto 10 yrs in jail for offence

Bhopal:

A 25-year-old man was killed outside the Bhopal Central Jail on Saturday afternoon, the police said.

Gandhi Nagar police station in-charge Tarun Bhati said two men stabbed Raja Khan to death on the road outside the jail.

Khan had visited the jail to meet an inmate, and was attacked when he came out, he said.

He was rushed to a hospital but was declared brought dead, the police officer said.

Salman (28) and Waseem (30), the alleged assailants, fled from the spot after committing the crime and a manhunt has been launched for them, Bhati added.

Initial investigation suggested that there was old enmity between him and the accused. A case of murder has been registered, the police officer added.
