Labour inspector held for graft in Bikaner

Jaipur:

A labour inspector was arrested on Monday for allegedly taking bribe of Rs 8,000 in Rajasthan‘s Bikaner district, an Anti-Corruption Bureau official said.

The accused Khemchand Kumawat posted at the labour department in Bikaner had demanded bribe to give a fair inspection report to a factory owner, ACB DSP Shivratan Godara said.

He said the accused was arrested receiving the bribe in the office.

A case has been registered against the accused under provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation is on, he added.
