History-sheeter shot dead outside home in Ajmer

A history-sheeter was gunned down outside his house by some unidentified assailants in Rajasthan’s Ajmer city, police said on Thursday.

Ajmer Superintendent of Police Kunwar Rashtradeep said the slain man Vikram Sharma was a history-sheeter and shot dead by the accused who were on a motorcycle on Wednesday night in Christianganj police station area.

The body was handed over to family members after a post-mortem on Thursday.

Eight persons have been detained in connection with the case and an investigation is underway, the officer said.

The SP added that Sharma was also an office bearer of the Indian Youth Congress in the 90s and later got involved in criminal activities.
