Hindu Rao Hospital gets 400 PPE kits from Indraprastha Vishwa Hindu Parishad

COVID-19: KDMC acquires 80 per cent beds at pvt hospitals

The  Hindu Rao Hospital of  the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (North DMC)  on Tuesday  got 400 PPE kits from Indraprastha Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

It will soon get two ventilators from Prayas foundation. These will add to the resources of Hindu Rao Hospital and strengthen it in combat against coronavirus (COVID-19).

The PPE kits were received by the Mayor of North DelhiAvtar Singh, chairman, standing committee,  Jai Prakash, and other officials concerned.

While donating PPE kits  Kapil, president, Waghees, working vice president and  Surender, secretary of Indraprastha Vishwa Hindu Parishad were also present.

Mayor  Singh on the occasion said that help in any kind is solicited at this juncture when there is pandemic situation and corporation is facing financial crunch.

Chairman, standing committee, Jai Prakash informed that North Delhi Municipal Corporation is sensitive towards safety of sanitation staff working in various zones especially those in containment zones. Thus docking centres are being developed in containment zones coming under its jurisdiction.

First such docking centre has started functioning in ‘B’ block, Jahangirpuri. Disposal of PPE kits through bio medical waste standards is being in as assured part of the operating systems.

Additional Commissioner Dr Rashmi Singh   said that this initiative has been taken by the North DMC to ensure that safety of the foot soldiers  working for others on ground .

Dr. Anu Kapor, medical superintendent of the hospital thanked the donors and informed that Hindu Rao Hospital is one of the nodal hospital for COVID-19 management, where an isolation ward with  50 beds has been prepared. She apprised that the Hospital has sufficient stock of PPE kits, N-95 Masks, Triple Layer masks and ventilators. Screening OPD has been started on 24X7 basis. A Bio Chemistry lab has been set up for basic testing of suspected patients, she added.
