Modasa (Guj):
Four persons were killed and eight others injured when the auto rickshaw in which they were traveling was hit by a truck in Aravalli district of Gujarat on Tuesday evening, police said.
The incident took place near Davli village in Modasa tehsil.
The victims were returning to Himmatnagar after offering prayers at Shamlaji, a major pilgrimage site in the district, on the occasion of Kartiki Purnima.
The auto-rickshaw was hit by a speeding truck, killing four passengers on the spot, a Modasa police official said.
The injured person were being treated at a civil hospital in Himmatnagar, he said.
