Los Angeles:
Actor Gerard Butler has found his next project in action thriller “The Plane”.
The film has a script from Charles Cumming and JP Davis, based on the book by Cumming, reported Deadline.
Butler, 49, will portray commercial pilot Ray Torrance, who after a heroic job of successfully landing his storm-damaged aircraft in a war zone, finds himself caught between the agendas of multiple militia who are planning to take the plane and its passengers’ hostage.
The project is backed by Di Bonaventura Pictures and MadRiver Pictures.
It will be produced by Lorenzo di Bonvaventura and Mark Vahradian along with Marc Butan, Ara Keshishian, Butler and Alan Siegel.
“The Plane” is expected to start shooting next year.
Butler most recently featured in “Angel Has Fallen”, the third chapter of his “Falling” franchise. He will next be seen in Jamie Foxx’s “All-Star Weekend”.
