While the day belongs to activities like Bhajan-Kirtan, temple visits, and Prasad distribution, the evening brought the Deepawali flavour as lamps were lit in large numbers and people across all ages dressed up in yellow participated in various activities and get-togethers to celebrate the homecoming of Shri Ram.
In Ghaziabad, people from D Block of Shastri Nagar were seen full of energy. The people of the colony from house numbers 59 to 74 celebrated Ramotsav with full enthusiasm and gaiety. As soon as the consecration of Ram Lalla happened, celebrations erupted. During the day, they had bhajan-kirtan and some other activities, while in the evening, they lit the lamps on both sides of the road and decorated them with flowers.
A specially prepared Dhanush of Lord Ram along with a glowing Jai Shri Ram nameplate was hoisted in the middle of the road, and flags of Shri Ram were also put up. Apart from this, a well-decorated area with flowers and light and a stage were also prepared. Amid the activities, the residents, immersed in the Ram wave, sat around bonfires and enjoyed the dance by children and family members on Ram tunes and bhajans.
It was a beautiful and surprising element to conclude the festivities when two children from the Nevatia family, Aryan and Anaya Nevatia, entered the stage in the incarnation of Lord Shri Ram and Sita Mata and blessed everyone. As soon as they came on stage with blessings, the entire atmosphere echoed with the chants of Jai Shri Ram. Amidst the food and a few crackers, the warmth of the residents added to the festive fun.
It was an unforgettable occasion, with Ram devotees drenched in the Ram wave, celebrating a once-in-a-lifetime moment. While at Ayodhya, the consecration of Ramlala made everyone feel emotional. Here too, these two kids in the Sita-Ram avatar overwhelmed them. It was all Ram Ram, Jai Shri Ram in the minds and tongues for all.
