Delhi Congress seeks FIR against AAP govt in shelter home fire incident

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ch. Anil Kumar has   demanded that an FIR be registered against the Kejriwal government   in regard to a fire at a shelter home at the Yamuna river bank, near Kashmiri Gate, describing it a case of criminal negligence.

Kumar at a press conference here on Thursday expressing the plight of the victims of the said fire incident at the Yamuna River bank, Kashmere Gate on 11th April expressed concerns over alleged  illegal gathering of thousands of people there .  Kumar said that on the one hand, the Delhi Government has been making tall claims and asking people to maintain social distancing, through advertisements,  on the other the failures of the Kejriwal government are being exposed.

He said that the rules made by the Central and Delhi governments for the people to follow during the lockdown period are being violated with impunity by top officials of the Central and Delhi governments.

Others present at the press conference were DPCC vice president  Mudi Agarwal, Runku, leader of the Congress in the East Delhi Municipal Corporation and Corporator Guddi Devi.

We have demanded that the Lt. Governor should take strict action against the Delhi government and the officials concerned  for playing with the lives of thousands of poor people and an  FIR be registered against the Kejriwal government for committing gross violation of the rules.
