Several express trains, including 12262 Howrah-Mumbai-Howrah Duronto Express, were cancelled owing to poor patronisation over the Coronavirus outbreak, the South Eastern Railway said here Tuesday.

The Howrah-Mumbai CSTM Duronto Express will not run on March 24 and 31, while the 12261 Mumbai CSTM-Howrah Duronto Express will remain cancelled on March 25 and April 1, an SER spokesman said.

As a few passengers booked for travel due to the coronavirus outbreak, several other trains were also cancelled.

The 12847/12848 Howrah-Digha-Howrah Super AC Express will remain cancelled from March 20 to March 31, the spokesman said.

The 82841 Santragachi-MGR Chennai Central Suvidha Special will not depart on March 20 and March 27, while the 82842 MGR Chennai Central-Santragachi Suvidha Special will remain cancelled on March 21 and 28, the official said.

The 08403 Puri-Santragachi Special will remain cancelled on March 20 and 27, while 08404 Santragachi Special will not run on March 21 and 28, he said.
