Lucknow:
Cold and dry weather persisted in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, the Met office said.
Muzaffarnagar was the coldest place in the state where mercury settled at 2.3 degrees Celsius, five degrees below normal.
State capital Lucknow’s minimum and maximum temperatures were recorded at 8.6 and 24.2 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to the meteorological department, weather is likely to remain dry in the state over the next few days.
