An in-house mobile application of the CISF was awarded the best information technology project of the year amongst all the police forces by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The award was given on Saturday during the closing event of the All India Police Duty meet at Lucknow.
The mobile app, ‘TMS’, aims at digitising the entire training module and calendar of the Central Industrial Security Force, a CISF spokesperson said.
The award was instituted by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) and the mobile application was developed by an in-house team of the CISF comprising Assistant Inspector General B S N Reddy and Deputy Commandant Sonu Sikarwar, he said.
The ‘Training Management Software’ (TMS) was developed with an aim of empowering police with information technology, the spokesperson said.
The CISF, with a strength of over 1.8 lakh personnel, guards 61 civil airports, including vital installations in the aerospace and nuclear domain.
