Dramatic scenes unfold at P Chidambaram’s residence in Jor Bagh as sleuths of the CBI, including the senior officers, are jumping over the wall to get into his residence. Nearly 20 officials jumped over the wall as the gates had been closed.
Earlier in the day, the CBI issued a Look Out Circular against former Union finance minister P Chidambaram in the INX media case to prevent him from leaving the country as the agency continued its efforts to locate him.
It may be mentioned that the former finance minister and Congress leader P Chidambaram on Wednesday evening made a dramatic appearance at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters in New Delhi, almost 24 hours after going “incommunicado” after the Delhi High Court turned down his anticipatory bail plea in connection with the INX Media scam case. Chidambaram appeared at the party headquarters, hours after his petition challenging the Delhi High Court rejection of anticipatory bail was not listed in the Supreme Court.
