Mumbai:
Twenty new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Maharashtra on Wednesday, taking the total number to 322, Health Minister Rajesh Tope said.
While 18 cases had come to light earlier in the day, Tope announced in the evening that the count had gone up by two.
“The total number of (coronavirus) positive cases in the state is now 322,” he said.
“The count would increase further as there are around 5,000 people in the high-risk category because their relatives or close friends have tested positive for COVID-19,” he added.
