Pratapgarh (UP):
A man was killed and two others were wounded after his cousin allegedly opened fire on them following a clash over a property dispute in a village in Pratapgarh district of UP, police said Tuesday.
Kamlesh Saroj, 40, his father Ramlal and brother-in-law Shobhnath were injured in the clash in Khemsari village and were rushed to a local hospital, but doctors declared Kamlesh Saroj brought dead, ASP (West) Dinesh Dwivedi said.
The two injured have been referred to the district hospital after their condition deteriorated, Dwivedi said.
Saroj had a property dispute with his cousin Rajaram Saroj, who has been absconding since the incident late Monday evening, the ASP said.
Four others involved in the clash have been taken into custody and an investigation is underway, he added.
